Le pilote argentin partira de la pole pour la première course de l’année samedi, dans sa # 25 Aurus 01 après avoir réalisé un 1: 43,616, devant Yifei Ye dans la voiture sœur # 26 G-Drive de l’Autodrome de Dubaï. Le favori des fans de Phoenix Racing, Nikki Thiim, a placé l’Oreca O7 à la troisième place. Colapinto partira également de la course 2 depuis la pole après avoir réalisé un 1:43. 885.
Era Motorsport a dominé la LMP2 Am, qui a vu l’Américain Kyle Tilley mettre son Oreca 07 en pole pour les deux premières manches de la saison 2021, après avoir réalisé deux temps au tour de 1: 46,469 et 1: 46,543 respectivement. Eurointernational partira de la deuxième place de sa catégorie avec sa Ligier JS P217.
Au volant de la Ligier JS P320 # 23 United Autosports, Wayne Boyd a décroché les honneurs de la pole LMP3 pour la course 1 et la course 2. L’équipe a dominé la classe, ce qui verra Duncan Tappy prendre le départ de la course 1 aux côtés de sa # 3. CD Sport partira de la P3 pour les courses 1 et 2 dans la Ligier JS P320 après une solide séance d’Adam Eteki.
Les pole positions GT ont été partagées entre les Porsche 911 GT3 R de Precote Herberth Motorsport. Sami Matti Trogen de Walkenhorst Motorsport a dominé la GT Am pour signer le meilleur temps de sa catégorie pour les courses 1 et 2, avec un 1: 57,274 et 1: 57,311. Giorgio Rodea a terminé deuxième de la Ferrari 488 GT3 # 27 de Kessel Racing.

Franco Colapinto has claimed pole position for G-Drive Racing for both Race 1 and Race 2 of the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series.
The Argentinian driver will start from pole for the first race of the year in his #25 Aurus 01 after setting a 1:43.616, ahead of Yifei Ye in the #26 G-Drive sister entry at the Dubai Autodrome. Phoenix Racing’s fan favourite Nikki Thiim placed the Oreca O7 in third. Colapinto will also start Race 2 from pole after setting a 1:43. 885.
Era Motorsport dominated the LMP2 Am, which saw American Kyle Tilley put his Oreca 07 on pole for the first two rounds of the 2021 season, having set two flying lap times of 1:46.469 and 1:46.543 respectively. Eurointernational will start from second in class with their Ligier JS P217.
Behind the wheel of the #23 United Autosports Ligier JS P320, Wayne Boyd took LMP3 pole honours for both Race 1 and Race 2. The team dominated the class, which will see Duncan Tappy start Race 1 alongside in his #3 entry. GT pole positions were shared among the Precote Herberth Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 Rs. Robert Renauer set a 1:55.552 in the #99 entry, with team-mate Klaus Bachler setting a time of 1:55.866 for #93 to start Race 2 from pole. For Race 1, #40 GPX Racing Julien Andlauer will start second, ahead of Bachler to give Porsche the top three starting positions of the year.
Walkenhorst Motorsport’s Sami Matti Trogen dominated GT Am to set the fastest time in class for Race 1 and 2, with a 1:57.274 and 1:57.311. Giorgio Rodea was second quickest in the #27 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GT3.
