par L’Asian Le Mans Series 2021 se déroulera à Abu Dhabi a annoncé le promoteur en raison de possibles restrictions de voyage en Asie du Sud-Est. La nouvelle saison se déroulera, dans son intégralité, sur le circuit de Yas Marina à Abu Dhabi en février 2021.
Si tous les efforts ont été déployés par tous les acteurs concernés, y compris les circuits et les gouvernements concernés, pour exécuter la saison comme prévu précédemment, la Série ne pouvait plus attendre la confirmation des restrictions qui pourraient être en place en janvier de l’année prochaine.
La saison débutera avec les deux premières courses organisées entre le 4 et le 6 février. Les deux dernières courses devraient avoir lieu du 18 au 20 février.
La nouvelle saison continuera à être composée de quatre courses de quatre heures. Les courses se dérouleront sur deux tracés différents de la piste, combinant des courses de nuit, de jour et de crépuscule.
La série Asian Le Mans Series dans son ensemble est déçue de ne pas courir sur le circuit international de Sepang, ni sur le circuit international de Chang à Buriram, mais les remerciements des équipes vont à tout le monde sur les deux circuits pour tout le travail qu’ils ont accompli pour essayer de faire l’ALMS comme prévue précédemment.
La Série et l’ACO tiennent à remercier leurs partenaires, Michelin et TOTAL, ainsi que les équipes et les pilotes, pour leur compréhension et leur plein soutien au nouveau format proposé.

New Destination and Dates for 2021 Asian Le Mans Series
A revised location for the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series has been announced due to possible travel restrictions in South East Asia. The new season will be run, in its entirety, at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi in February 2021.
Whilst every effort has been made by all those involved, including the circuits and the relevant Governments, to run the season as previously planned, the Series could not wait any longer for confirmation of the restrictions that may be in place in January next year.
The season will start with the first two races held between the 4th – 6th of February. The final two races are expected to be held on the 18th – 20th February.
The new season will continue to be comprised of four x four hours races. The races will be run on two different layouts of the track, as well as combining night, day and twilight racing.
The Asian Le Mans Series as a whole is disappointed not to be racing at the Sepang International Circuit, nor the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, but the teams’ thanks go to everyone at both circuits for all the work they put in to try and make the planned calendar happen.
The Series and the ACO would like to thank their partners, Michelin, and TOTAL, as well as the teams and drivers, for their understanding and full support of the new proposed format.
